The Tampa Bay Beach Boppers is a "Non-Profit" Dance Club
founded in 1989. We incorporated in 1990 and now support various
charities, both in and out of the Tampa Bay area. The Tampa Bay
Beach Boppers contribute one dollar per member in addition to other
funds suggested by the Charities Committee and approved by the
Board. |

WHO WE ARE: |
|
The Tampa Bay Beach Boppers is a group of people who have an
appreciation for "Beach Music" and enjoy various styles of dance
which include shag, bop, east coast swing, west coast swing,
jitterbug, etc. We offer dance lessons for members who have an
interest in learning any of these dances. Most of our members belong
to the 40+ "baby boomer" era, but we invite dancers of all ages to
come join us and see who we are. TBBB also sponsors one major 4 day
event - BEACH BOOGIE. This event is held in
August. We also have other dances throughout the year
besides our club Sunday club night. |

ASCAP - www.ascap.com - is a membership
association of over 200,000 U.S. composers, songwriters,
lyricists, and music publishers of every kind of music. Through
agreements with affiliated international societies, ASCAP also
represents hundreds of thousands of music creators worldwide.
ASCAP is the only U.S. performing rights organization created and
controlled by composers, songwriters and music publishers, with a
Board of Directors elected by and from the membership. ASCAP
protects the rights of its members by licensing and distributing
royalties for the non-dramatic public performances of their
copyrighted works. ASCAP's licensees encompass all who want to
perform copyrighted music publicly. ASCAP makes giving and
obtaining permission to perform music simple for both creators and
of music. |

BMI - www.bmi.com - is an American
performing rights organization that represents more than 300,000
songwriters, composers and music publishers in all genres of
music. The non-profit-making company, founded in 1939, collects
license fees on behalf of those American creators it represents,
as well as thousands of creators from around the world who chose
BMI for representation in the United States. The license fees BMI
collects for the "public performances" of its repertoire of more
than 6.5 million compositions - including radio airplay, broadcast
and cable television carriage, Internet and live and recorded
performances by all other users of music - are then distributed as
royalties to the writers, composers and copyright holders it
represents. BMI's roster of affiliated songwriters and
composers is unsurpassed and includes outstanding creators in
every style of musical composition: from pop songwriters to film
and television composers; from classical composers to commercial
jingle writers; from library music to musical theater composers;
from jazz to hip-hop; from metal to meringue; classical to classic
soul; from rock to reggae, and all the categories in
between.
