The Wednesday evening sunset dance is for everyone, even if you don’t have a weekend ticket. Just $20 at the door for those without a weekend ticket. The dance is included with the weekend ticket. We will be dancing in the Coconut Palm Pavillion Wednesday, August 19, 2026.

If you can’t join us for the whole weekend, but you would like to come for a day it is $45 for the day on Thursday, Friday or Saturday. On Friday and Saturday that would include the daytime workshops and the evening dance. Download the day flyer here and return it with your payment to Mike Lapina. Address is on the form.

Beach Boogie DJs

This year’s Beach Boogie will feature a great line up of DJs with a variety of music for your dancing pleasure.

John Smith is a regular at Beach Boogie. John grew up in Andrews, SC. He started to DJ in the late 60's. In 2007, he was inducted into the Beach Music DJ Hall of Fame. This year will be John's 37th year at SOS. John’s SOS DJ career started at The Pad in Ocean Drive.

Jane Harrington will be back this year. Jane has been DJing for our annual Beach Boogie for over 20 years. Jane grew up in the Carolinas. Her love of rhythm and blues music led her to become a DJ in 1996 when she started as the club DJ for the Tampa Bay Beach Boppers.

Doug Armstrong will be back to DJ the Wednesday Sunset kickoff dance in the Coconut Palm Pavillion. He will also be one of the Ballroom DJs this year. Doug began his DJ career in 1999. Growing up in Charlotte, NC, he was around Beach music and Carolina Shag most of his life.

This year we welcome Terry James as our poolside DJ. Terry is from the St. Louis area and grew up in Missouri. Terry has 45 years of DJ experience. He has provided music for most of the St. Louis clubs and weekend events including Memphis, Nashville, Lake Barkley, Chicago, Little Rock, Hot Springs and Heber Springs.
